Andreas Distel is Assistant Professor at the Department of Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University. He received his PhD in Management from Copenhagen Business School, Denmark. His research focuses on the micro-foundations and effects of firms’ strategic adaptation, corporate entrepreneurship, and open innovation. He is specifically interested in how entrepreneurial managers and knowledge workers contribute to an organization’s capabilities to innovate and respond to environmental changes. He applies primarily quantitative methods to analyze data from various sources (e.g., survey data, large scale employee-employer data or text-based data) at multiple levels. His work has been published in the Journal of Management and the Journal of International Business Studies.
