Dr Guido Berens, assistant professor of Corporate Communication at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM) will assume the role of Editor-in-Chief of the academic journal Corporate Reputation Review (CRR), which was launched by founders of the Reputation Institute Professor Cees van Riel and Dr Charles Fombrun 20 years ago. CRR is the leading international journal for scholars and academics interested in managing and measuring corporate reputation.

Cees van Riel, professor of Corporate Communication at RSM and current Editor-in-Chief of CRR said: “Charles and I have served as editors of CRR for two decades. It is now time to step down and encourage someone from the new generation of academic researchers to take on the role. Guido Berens has a great track record in publishing academic articles on reputation, identity and CSR. He has a strong academic network and is full of energy to take on this new role. In the last decade he has published several articles in CRR and has acted as an Editorial Board Member, reviewing a range of submissions.”

Guido Berens said: “It is an honour for me to take up the baton as Editor-in-Chief from Van Riel and Fombrun, who have contributed greatly to establishing corporate reputation management as an academic discipline. CRR has been instrumental in this development, consistently publishing high-quality papers (several of which are now considered classics) that have greatly stimulated the development of the field.

“My first goal as the new editor will be to further expand the community of scholars surrounding the journal by appealing to the new generation of academics interested in reputation and related constructs. The activities of the newly established Reputation Research Centre will also help to support this community.”
