Women who want to do an Executive MBA (EMBA) at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM) are eligible for the RSM EMBA Women in Leadership Scholarship 2016. This €10,000 tuition fee waiver is offered by RSM to achieve more gender-balanced leadership teams in business, and increase diversity in the MBA classes.

RSM’s Executive MBA is a 22-month, part-time MBA which focuses on participants’ career trajectory and primes them for senior leadership positions. It is designed to fit working executives’ demanding schedules, and equips future leaders with academic knowledge and unique skills to maximise their growth and development.

Women in business

“I encourage more women to think about doing an EMBA,” said Dianne Bevelander, professor of management education with a focus on women in management. “It’s a transformational experience, you gain confidence and you build a great network. It’s definitely good for your career.”

The MBA scholarship was put in place to increase the number of female applicants for RSM’s Executive MBA programme. With the scholarship, RSM aims to achieve a more gender-balanced MBA class. There are also other RSM scholarships available for RSM’s MBA, master, bachelor and Parttime Master Bedrijfskunde programmes.

Erasmus Centre for Women in Organisations

Any female EMBA candidate who has submitted their EMBA programme application and has been offered a place on the RSM EMBA programme commencing February 2017 is eligible to apply.  The discretionary scholarship will be merit-based and thus the quality of the EMBA application will be the criterion for assessment.

In addition to the scholarship, female candidates who have participated in one of the women in business programmes by the Erasmus Centre for Women in Organisation (ECWO) are eligible to receive a 10 per cent discount on the Executive MBA or OneMBA programmes to further develop their leadership skills.
