Participants tuned into the online sessions from 28 May to 18 June, which touched upon topics including creating a better work-life balance, using authenticity to succeed, creating impact through your career, and exploring the differences between corporate and non-corporate environments.
The career days’ highlight was the on-campus day in late June. The programme catered to around 70 recent graduates and more established alumni as sessions covered topics to elevate careers and becoming more effective leaders. In a plenary session, alumni explored the art of networking with Dr Julija Mell, associate professor of organisational behaviour at RSM.
Alumni also had the opportunity to book a one-on-one career consultation with the RSM Career Centre.
“It was great to see how alumni reconnect with us for lifelong learning opportunities. They can develop themselves throughout their career, as our career advice services stay accessible to them,” says Meta Haag-Mikec, associate director of Corporate and Alumni Relations at RSM.
Alumni also used this opportunity to network with people they hadn’t met yet, talked about their business, and discovered executive education programmes that match their roles or aspirations. “We’re excited to see lots of alumni return to RSM for mentoring, guest lectures, events and corporate programmes,” Haag-Mikec added.
Alumni relations manager Bruno Hasa agrees: “We aim to offer structured career support to our alumni beyond graduation. Our alumni career events, mentoring programme, and the networking opportunities they create are part of that, and we are happy to see the impact they are having.”
