There were 11 representatives from 7 companies at the two-day career event, organised by the RSM Career Centre. These company representatives and recruiters selected student candidates in advance based on their CVs, ensuring a targeted approach. They conducted one-to-one speed interviews with almost 50 students from RSM’s BSc International Business Administration, BSc Bedrijfskunde and full-time MSc programmes.
Living proof
“The speed interviews showcased an excellent pool of talent from RSM. Our conversations were engaging and inspiring, providing us with a comprehensive view of the students’ skills and potential. At the event we found some excellent candidates to consider for our open vacancies, and we look forward to taking the next steps with them,” says Valtteri Väisänen, senior consultant at S&P Global Mobility.
“I am living proof of how important recruitment events are,” says Julia Pospiech, corporate recruiter at Hilti Nederland BV and MSc alumna from RSM. “During my studies, I had a speed interview with Hilti. There wasn’t an open vacancy in line with my interests and I wasn’t graduating that year, but we stayed connected and had more talks a few months later. Now, one year later, I started my first job at Hilti right after my exchange semester abroad! It always makes sense to network – for both students and companies – for now or for the future!”
A win-win situation
“The RSM students made great first impressions on the company representatives. Their fresh knowledge and ideas can really boost organisations growth in various ways. Companies come to RSM to find exactly this: new marketing ideas, sustainability strategies, and young talents to bring long-term benefits and new perspectives to the company,” says Laura van Steenwijk, employer relations manager at RSM.
“At the same time, it was an incredible opportunity to not only practice job interviews with real recruiters but also directly connect with organisations to find the right match and find potential internships or job opportunities, right here on campus,” Van Steenwijk added.
Engaging in direct dialogue this way can lead to second interviews for an internship or job opportunity at one of the participating companies: Hilti, KPMG, Rituals, Morssinkhof Plastics, S&P Global, Valery Capital, and VNAB.
