The Executive Board of Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR) welcomes the appointment of Prof. Dr. W.B.F. (Werner) Brouwer as interim dean of Rotterdam School of Management (RSM), Erasmus University. The appointment is effective 1 November 2023 through December 2024 and has the support of both RSM management and the Faculty Council.

Werner Brouwer is currently already acting dean at RSM and a professor of health economics at Erasmus School of Health Policy & Management (ESHPM). 

Contributing further to RSM's mission

Prof. Werner Brouwer: "RSM is an internationally leading business school where great people work and high-quality education, research and engagement takes place. I thank everyone within RSM for welcoming me as acting dean, the Executive Board for their trust. I look forward to contributing, together with all colleagues, to, in the coming year, further contribute to RSM's mission, which is now more relevant than ever."

From 2012 to 2018, Brouwer served as pro-dean at ESHPM, a position he also held ad interim from the end of 2019 through April 2022. Previously, he was chair of the Department of Health Economics and Health Technology Assessment and research director at ESHPM and led the Erasmus Initiative Smarter Choices for Better Health and the Management Board of Convergence Health & Technology, amongst others.
