Prof. Michel Lander, Dean of Education at RSM provided opening words with an overview of what the CEMS programme is and how well placed the new graduates would be as new CEMS alumni. Maria Carmen Punzi, PhD candidate in Business-Society Management, was also a guest speaker at the ceremony, where she talked about embracing the unexpected and not being afraid to step into the unknown. The overall ceremony was led by Dr Rene Olie, IM/CEMS academic director, and by Gina Kim, IM/CEMS programme manager, who was given special acknowledgement by the students as being kind and thoughtful while providing students with clarity and stability during their 18-month study.

Marit de Ridder and Federico Nazzi were chosen by the cohort to address the students at the ceremony, with both urging each and every class member to create space to find purpose and meaning in everything they do and reminding them that when they fall down in the future, just to remember to fall forward!
