The latest Masters in Management ranking from the Financial Times (FT) shows Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM) has climbed from sixth to fifth place worldwide for its MSc International Management programme. QS also published its Business Masters Rankings on 23 September and RSM is in the top 25 for four master programmes, with the MSc in Supply Chain Management on a 4th place worldwide.

The top 90 Masters in Management ranking was published on the FT website on Monday 28 September. It comprises data about the programme, the school, recent graduates, and several elements that were measured in a 2020 survey of graduates from the class of 2017.

The FT ranking took into account several attributes, including their salaries, career progress, international mobility and how graduates consider they have achieved their aims. RSM’s top position in this global ranking is a result of a good all-round performance in each of the criteria. It confirms RSM’s place in the top 5 of Master in Management programmes in the world. The FT ranking includes several other Dutch business schools.

Business master rankings

QS published the top master degrees in five popular business subjects in its global Business Masters Rankings 2021. QS considers elements such as diversity, thought leadership, employability and value for money. RSM was ranked in four of the five subjects:

RSM’s Dean of Education Professor Eric Waarts said: “I’m sure that our continuing efforts to improve every part of our master programmes, and our focus on coaching our students to achieve their goals and to see themselves as agents of positive change, are helping us to consolidate our top position in master in management programme rankings. It shows that our education as well as our research is of top-quality.”

Employability

RSM’s MSc Employment Report 2020 shows that almost 90 per cent of recent master graduates were employed within six months after graduation. This and more details are specified per programme.

Data from Dutch recruitment matchmaker Magnet.me shows that students from RSM’s Master in Strategic Entrepreneurship are in the top 10 of most sought after young professionals by recruiters for an internship, traineeship or job in the Netherlands. The top 50 also includes RSM’s masters in Strategic Management, Global Business & Sustainability, Management of Innovation, Supply Chain Management, Business Information Management, and its bachelor Bedrijfskunde (business administration).
