This article announces the thesis defense of Lars Nielsen that will take place on Friday 11 February 2011 at the EUR Woudestein campus (Senaatszaal). His thesis is titled 'Rolling Stock Rescheduling in Passenger Railways'. He developed models for the NS (Dutch railway company) to use that calculate how they can provide alternative ways to enable travellers to reach their destination in case of cancelled trains.
