Netherlands rapidly loses quality employment. More and more often, researchers, technicians and engineers in other, often Asian, countries are cheaper to hire. Last week, pharmaceutical company MSD (former Organon) sacked more than 2,000 employees and decided to close its research and development department in the Netherlands. Does the Netherlands still have a future for high technology workers? Justin Jansen, Professor of Corporate Entrepreneuship, comments in TV news programme Eén Vandaag. He pleads for considerable investments in education and a sustainable economic policy.
