Carola Schouten nominated as new mayor of Rotterdam
Alumna and former minister Carola Schouten (CU) has been nominated by the Rotterdam city council as the new mayor of Rotterdam. In a closed meeting on Thursday evening, a majority of the city council voted in favor of Schouten's nomination. The name still has to be ratified by the Council of Ministers, but that is usually a formality.
