Some individuals struggle to build on their early creative successes, and a study on writer's block sheds light on this phenomenon. First-time cookbook authors face similar challenges as inventors, film directors, and novelists in replicating their initial success. Interestingly, authors of original and award-winning cookbooks are less likely to write a second book, possibly due to the psychological threat of losing their creative identity.
