Europe needs to appoint a silent curator for the settlement of non-solvable, non-system-relevant banks through the European Court of Justice in order to maximise taxpayers in rescuing banks. This is what Dirk Schoenmaker of Bruegel's economic think tank and Professor at RSM claims in response to the rescue of Banca Popolare di Vicenza and Veneto Banca.
