Admissions

Your application should be completed and sent at least one month before the start date of an intake.

This means, for example, that for the September 2025 intake, we encourage you to apply before 1 August 2025 to ensure your application can be processed in time.

In the list of requirements for your online master programme, you can read that we require you as an applicant to have at least three years of work experience by the start of the programme.

RSM’s online master programmes aim to support you in taking the next step in your career or in making a career shift. However, this does not mean that you have to already work within the same industry or a related field to undertake our online master programme. To help you get up to speed with your knowledge and skills, we also offer you pre-master materials.

If you have further questions about this, please contact us at: onlinemasters@rsm.nl

Normally, the admissions process can take 4-6 weeks.

Learning environment

Learners are expected to commit to around 15 hours of study time a week during the lecture periods.

Check the web page or brochure of a specific online master programme to get more detailed information about study loads and what to expect as an online learner.

Since having a global orientation is imperative, all programme instruction is given in English. Because the academic field and supporting online resources are in English, our English-taught programme can also better prepare you as a learner to stay up to date with future developments in the field.

Classrooms typically consist of around 30 students. With this capacity, we aim to strike a balance between ensuring individual attention and achieving a good group dynamic and networking opportunities.

The modules are taught by a range of experienced faculty members who are experts as well as active researchers in the field of sustainability management. They  bring a wealth of academic and practical experience from diverse multinational backgrounds.
