MSc People, Organisations & Change

People are at the centre of organisations. But how people do create value for organisations and what can organisations offer to the people who work in them? More fundamentally, how do we manage people, organisations and change successfully in a turbulent world?

Our respected international faculty members will bring you the latest thinking and empirical research in the field, drawing on theoretical perspectives to connect micro (people and groups), meso (organisations) and macro (external conditions) concerns.

You’ll learn to think critically to make better people-related and data-driven decisions, and to create positive change for individuals and organisations. You will apply research insights to practical problems from the start of your studies as part of a consultancy project, and the small group environment means that you can easily interact with students, teachers, practitioners and companies to enhance your learning. You’ll graduate with an in-depth understanding of how to manage people, organisations and change as a manager, consultant or HR professional.

Hear from our current students

The university has a big international campus with loads of opportunities and open-minded people. We learn a lot about sustainability in class, which helps me to do my part for society. Joining associations helps you to get to know more people. There’s lots to do in Rotterdam as it’s full of cozy bars, coffee places and food choices.

Floor Severijn, Dutch (MSc People, Organisations & Change, 2024)

If you are a people-oriented person who loves to solve moral dilemmas and complex organisational issues about people and stakeholders, take this programme. I enjoy the small-scale classrooms and the space to ask questions and voice our opinions. Real life cases stimulate my thinking about applying theory into practice; I think that’s essential for entering the labour market.
