Sneak peek into IBA at RSM

My favourite thing about RSM and IBA are the courses where we get to apply our knowledge such as Strategic Business Plan, Business Simulation and Entrepreneurship. In the course I DO, I acted as an NGO student consultant. This gave me confidence in my abilities. Professors here focus on SDGs which helps realise that everything can be connected to sustainability. In my first year I already worked as a student assistant and travelled to Egypt and Japan with study association STAR. It’s all very exciting, and time flies! I couldn’t have imagined all of this happening when I first arrived in Rotterdam.

Malena Pletikosa (Croatia), BSc IBA Class of 2025

The SGDs are integrated in all courses taught at RSM. It inspired me to join the student board of the Erasmus Sustainability Hub. I’m positively surprised by all the opportunities here. There’s such a diversity among students and in the different parts of a business we explore. There is always something to do around Rotterdam too: study association parties, study trips, sunbathing at the beach, career events, cooking workshops, museums and new food to try. There are countless exciting activities waiting for you. Three years will pass within a blink of an eye, so make the most out of your time here!

Mika Leon Belchhaus (Germany), BSc IBA Class of 2025

I like the broadness and diversity of the IBA. The mix of courses and option to choose a specialisation track make it easier to decide on which business area I want to focus on. Sustainability is important to me. Many courses focus on sustainability in the business world. I’m involved in teaching seminars for entrepreneurship and follow the university’s Sustainability Honours Course, which help me tackle the challenges we are facing. I use the RSM Career Centre’s online tool which sends regular updates on internship positions based on my interests. Rotterdam has become my favourite place to live: I love the Blaak market and cycling along the Maasboulevard.
