The Business Consulting team at Rotterdam School of Management BV, Erasmus University (RSM) serves as a vital partner in driving efficiency and innovation within the organisation. The consultants lead projects across various domains, including digitalisation, automation, strategy, and process improvement. Collaborating closely with key internal and external stakeholders, the team strives to accelerate the primary process of the organisation (education) and its many supporting functions (marketing, sales, HR, finance). 

Your main tasks:  

• Work with internal business departments to articulate demand for innovations and help make business cases for these innovations.  

• Identify the right solutions for these needs – which can vary from giving advice, doing process reviews, applying small changes by yourself to managing larger projects. These projects may include implementing new information systems, leading digital transformations such as AI adoption, or formulating strategy.  

• Determine and involve the necessary specialists and / or immerse yourself in the matter at hand. 

• Bridge and organise business and internal stakeholders to successfully implement these solutions or new activities.  

• Go the extra mile in ensuring RSM is successful in these initiatives, both in the short term (project delivery) and the long term (optimising business value of these innovations).  

You will be considered for this position if you have:  

• A relevant qualification at least at bachelor level in business informatics, business administration, information management or similar.  

• Business insights and IT affinity; you understand business management challenges and provide solutions from a multidisciplinary viewpoint.  

• The ability to critically assess information, analyse data, make informed decisions, and translate these into innovative solutions, process improvements, or business cases. 

• Experience in project management, solution implementations, and change management. 

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively manage and facilitate groups.  

• You have a proactive approach and great project management skills with which you can operate independently, whilst continuously connecting with your internal stakeholders and team members.  

Preferably you also have:  

• Experience with agile methodologies (such as Scrum/Kanban).  

• Knowledge of application management organisation and procedures (BiSL).  

• Experience with IT-platforms is a plus.  

• Proven experience with data analytics and for example Power BI 

• Knowledge of higher education and strong process optimisation skills (such as Lean).  

In addition to this professional knowledge, we are looking for a meticulous, customer-friendly colleague with excellent analytical skills. You can work independently, and you are also a team player. You can take initiative, contact others easily, and possess the necessary social assertiveness. In connection with the international character of our organisation, an excellent command of both Dutch and English is a must.

The salary range for this specific position is € 4,300 – € 4,700 on a full-time basis. This will be decided based on your education and working experience. Part of the remuneration package is an end-of-year bonus. RSM BV has excellent secondary benefits, like 25 vacation days plus 12 ADV days.  

We expect you to work from our office the majority of your contract hours to connect with internal stakeholders. However, working from home on some days is possible.
