Her appointment will come into effect on 1 December 2024. Prof. Hassoldt is currently the Dean of the Faculty of Technology, Policy and Management at TU Delft. She will succeed Professor Werner Brouwer, who has served as the interim dean for RSM since February 2023.

The Executive Board has appointed Professor Hassoldt as new Dean of RSM because of her extensive experience in guiding organisations through change and her commitment to creating societal impact. According to Annelien Bredenoord, president of the Executive Board, Aukje is a university executive with a broad range of experience. “With her solid work as dean at our partner TU Delft, and her rich experience in executive roles she will lead the way in the next phase of one of our biggest faculties. I welcome her for her tremendous analytical skills but also as a warm people’s person.”

Aukje Hassoldt has been Dean of the Technology, Policy and Management Faculty at TU Delft since October 2019. Prior to her appointment at TU Delft, she worked outside of academia at prominent research-based organisations in the Netherlands.

“RSM is a very exciting and inspiring organisation with a great international position. I’m looking forward to starting on 1 December as the new dean of RSM and to tackle together the challenges facing academic institutions in the Netherlands at this time. Ensuring that RSM remains a leading business school in Europe and internationally will be a top priority” notes Professor Hassoldt. “The school’s mission to being a force for positive change in the world is more important now than ever, and I look forward to engaging with the students, faculty and staff to achieve this together. I am really looking forward to working with them."

The Executive Board of Erasmus University Rotterdam would also like to thank Prof. Dr. Werner Brouwer for his exceptional service as interim dean of RSM. Annelien Bredenoord: “Werner’s leadership has provided much-needed strength and continuity during this period of transition. His leadership has been invaluable, and we are truly grateful for his contributions to our university."
