RSM Executive Education offers open programmes for young and senior business professionals. These programmes vary between one-day workshops and 22-month modular programmes, taught in Rotterdam in English or Dutch. “These programmes are a collection of general skills and specialities, providing an understanding of topics and their practical relevance that is unique because of our academic roots,” says Prof. Frank Hartmann, Dean of RSM Executive Education, adding that if business professionals want to stay in control, they have to prepare for change. “RSM is the portal via which academic knowledge and practical application meet and create synergy.”
International trade knowledge
In addition to the already successful open programmes in its portfolio, RSM Executive Education will offer new English-taught programmes to its portfolio in 2016. During the Diploma Programme in Customs and Supply Chain Compliance, professionals and managers in customs and international trade will learn to better understand EU customs laws, auditing, IT, and logistics and supply chain to improve co-operation in international trade.
Organisations and big data
RSM’s new Leadership Challenges with Big Data programme supports organisations in their transformation towards a data-driven company. This programme is for professionals who work in data science or who are engaged in business analytics.
General counsel and legal professionals will develop deeper knowledge into business principles and processes and broaden their perspectives on legal challenges during RSM’s new 18-month modular General Counsel Executive Programme.
Investing in business skills
The most popular programmes of 2015 will also run again. These are Essentials of Leadership, Finance for Non-Financial Managers, The Power of Storytelling, and The Power of Presence. RSM Executive Education also offers a series of Women in Business programmes, and the new Engaging Customers through Social Media programme.
There has been a boost in ambition among business professionals, and renewed confidence in the economy, said Professor Frank Hartmann. “The improved economic climate creates room for investment in the skills and education of employees,” he said. “RSM continues to play an increasingly important role in connecting the world of business and the world of knowledge.” The dean of RSM Executive Education added that the interaction between academics and professionals helps firms to thrive in society through RSM’s knowledge and academic values.
