At the International Career Event, students from RSM’s BSc in International Business Administration, MSc programmes and International Full-time MBA met recruiters from international companies who do not necessarily require professionals with Dutch language skills. “There is an enormous amount of international students at RSM,” said Justin Sheehan, Career Coach and Corporate Relationship Manager at RSM. “Many international companies have elected to base their European headquarters in the Netherlands and generally have English as their working language. We want to bring our students into contact with these companies.”
Students experienced the STAR International Career Event as “an enriching opportunity to gain valuable insights from a diverse set of industry-leading organisations,” according to MBA student Daniel Cheddie. His classmate Carlos Gonzales agreed: “We had the amazing opportunity to participate in company presentations, play corporate games that gave us exposure to real-life cases, and speed interviews that can potentially lead to a future full-time job.”
Recruiting the best
Companies looking for bright minds who will soon be ready to carry their innovative mindsets into a sustainable future interacted with RSM students in many ways. “We met a number of students of interest who will graduate in December,” said Charmain Domingo, HR Assistant NSWE at Qatar Airways. “We have already received a number of CVs which have been forwarded to specific regions or to our head office for consideration.” In addition to Qatar Airways, companies at the career event included Alphasights, Danone, ABN AMRO, Delta Electronics, Avery Dennison, Monsanto, Uber, McKinsey, Shell, Nike, Booking.com, Bentley and Colfax Group.
