July: a summer of connections

Malta: sailing into friendship

RSM alumni kicked off the summer with a thrilling regatta in Malta as part of the global MBA sailing league in July. Hosted by the RSM Sailing Club, the event brought together over 30 participants for two exhilarating days of races and camaraderie.

Amsterdam: social dinner

Here in the Netherlands, alumni gathered at the relaxed waterside venue Strand op Zuid in Amsterdam on 12 July to catch up over drinks and enjoy a delicious group dinner.

Frankfurt: summer picnic

In Germany, the Grüneburg Park in Frankfurt provided the perfect setting for a casual picnic on 12 July. Alumni based in Germany mingled in the warm evening air, sharing stories and laughter.

New York City: outdoor movie night

On a balmy night in Bryant Park, NYC alumni enjoyed the classic film Funny Face under the stars on 15 July. The evening began with pre-film networking, setting the tone for a relaxed and enjoyable event.

Toronto: social drinks

Toronto’s alumni gathered at the Amsterdam Brewhouse on 18 July for a lively evening of drinks, networking, and conversation along the scenic waterfront.

Berlin: monthly Social Drinks

Berlin’s alumni community, joined by IE alumni, met at Biergarten Scheusenkrug on 19 July for their regular monthly drinks, strengthening bonds in the heart of Germany.

Luxembourg: inaugural event for the new chapter

Luxembourg’s alumni celebrated the launch of their new local chapter on 31 July with an evening of drinks and networking in downtown Luxembourg. The event marked the beginning of a strong, connected community.

August: networking across continents

Munich: brunch gathering

RSM alumni in Munich enjoyed a Sunday brunch in the city center on 11 August, where they reconnected and explored new professional opportunities over delicious food.

Berlin: monthly drinks

Berlin’s alumni gathered again for their monthly drinks on 16 August, continuing to build relationships and share experiences in a vibrant atmosphere.

Düsseldorf: gourmet festival

The German North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) chapter enjoyed an evening of culinary delights, music, and conversation at Düsseldorf’s Gourmet Festival on 23 August, a perfect blend of culture and connection.

Berlin: museum night

Alumni in Berlin experienced the city’s rich culture during the Long Night of the Museums on 24 August, with tours of historic sites, lively discussions, and plenty of food and drink.

Athens: MBA networking dinner

MBA students on a study trip to Athens in late August connected with local alumni over dinner to explore entrepreneurship in Greece.

Washington DC: MBA business dinner

In the capital of the USA, students and US-based alumni discussed the intersections of business and politics, forging connections in a city renowned for its influence.

Dubai: networking dinner

Dubai provided a dynamic backdrop for a dinner exploring the energy transition, connecting alumni in the Middle East with MBA students on a study tour on 26 August.

Reykjavík: MBA green economy chat

In Iceland, students and Iceland-based alumni met over drinks on 28 August to explore Reykjavík’s green economy, a timely topic in the land of renewable energy.

London: MBA finance knowledge session

London alumni shared insights into the finance industry with visiting MBA students, creating a valuable exchange of knowledge on 30 August.

Jakarta: alumni gathering

Indonesian alumni embraced the spirit of connection at Twin House Blok M in Jakarta, proudly donning Dutch orange or Erasmus University green for a memorable networking lunch.

Oslo: social drinks

In Oslo, alumni gathered at Kulturhuset on 11 September for an evening of drinks and conversation, rekindling relationships in Norway’s capital.

Sydney: alumni get-together

Alumni in Australia met for casual after-work drinks, fostering a relaxed environment for new friendships and reconnections.

Brussels: post-summer gathering

A friendly game of pétanque set the tone for Brussels alumni on 19 September to reunite over drinks and snacks, ushering in the second half of the year.

Sofia: social gathering

Bulgaria’s Dutch Alumni Club hosted a delightful evening at Rafi on Shipka Street in Sofia on 27 September, uniting alumni for shared memories and renewed connections.

Tokyo: AI for Business seminar

In Tokyo, a seminar on generative AI by Theunis Scheepers on 30 September captivated alumni based in Japan before a networking session, blending innovation with community.
