Celebrations and conversations
Alumni in Amsterdam started off with a networking dinner at Restaurant Nela on 3 April, sharing stories and career tips over delicious food. The next day, former RSM students in Sydney kicked back with after-work drinks at Jacksons on George in the city centre. Over in Oslo a few days later, alumni embraced the Scandinavian spirit with a convivial dinner outing, while Madrid saw a lively mix of RSM, MIT, and Ryder alumni gather on 12 April to celebrate the Spring Festival. Hong Kong alumni took to the skies for drinks at Popinjays Rooftop Bar, soaking in the city's vibrant energy.
The month also saw a focus on intellectual pursuits. The Dutch Alumni Club in Bulgaria delved into the complex topic of the future of AI in Europe on 18 April, sparking lively discussions on ethics and innovation.
The annual Across Atlantic Alumni Party in Taiwan on 19 April offered a more relaxed setting for networking and fun, with alumni from various international business schools mingling over cocktails and canapes. In Berlin, RSM and IE alumni continued their monthly tradition of social drinks at Markthalle Pfefferberg.
Mixing masterclasses with mingling
May brought a mix of highbrow and social gatherings. New Yorkers gathered at Tavern on the Green for a Central Park feast with a side of networking on 9 May. The RSM Alumni Netherlands Chapter hosted a fascinating masterclass on neuroforecasting in Amsterdam on 22 May, exploring the mind-boggling ways that brain science can be used to predict trends in music.
Social butterflies in Sydney and Amsterdam found their fix with after-work drinks on the 29th and 31st, respectively. In Madrid, the Alumni Club of Spain hosted a masterclass on the intriguing topic of "The power of AI to live longer, better and happier" on 30 May.
From scenic hikes to sporty spirit
As June arrived, the RSM network showed no signs of slowing down. The alumni community in Singapore hosted a networking event on the 6th, alumni in London gathered for after-work drinks at Bermondsey Bar & Kitchen on the 13th, while in Zurich, alumni enjoyed a scenic hike in the Swiss Alps on 16 June, followed by a barbecue dinner.
The UEFA European championship brought out the competitive spirit in RSM alumni, with a viewing party in Düsseldorf on 19 June, and spontaneous alumni gatherings in Toronto to watch the games. Back in the Netherlands, alumni caught up over dinner in Utrecht and The Hague.
Further afield, RSM’s Global Executive MBA students visiting Stockholm enjoyed a dinner with local alumni on 25 June, and Dubai residents squeezed in a final after-work drink at Maison Mathis on the 26th before the summer holidays began. The quarter wrapped up with the launch of new alumni chapters in Hamburg and Brussels on the 27th, each hosting their first events and welcoming new members to the ever-growing RSM family.
RSM alumni network
RSM is more than ‘just’ a business school, it’s a network of thinkers and doers, a community built on laughter, debate, knowledge sharing and the shared belief that its people can make a difference. With a growing network of more than 50,000 alumni worldwide, RSM’s alumni community brings alumni opportunities for lifelong learning, professional development and social connections throughout their careers. Alumni include all RSM graduates, from the first post-kandidaats, IIB and Bedrijfskunde programmes in the early 1970s up to those who graduated only this year.
Local alumni chapters
There are lots of local alumni chapters worldwide to make alumni from RSM and Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR) feel at home. If your city isn't on the map, email us if you're interested in starting a new chapter. And if we are coming to your neck of the woods, register for the event – you won't regret it.
