RSM awarded Best Article and Outstanding Reviewer at IPSERA 2023, will host IPSERA 2025.
From 2-5 April, Barcelona, Spain accommodated the 2023 International Purchasing and Supply Education and Research Association (IPSERA) conference. Hosted by ESADE Business school, this year’s theme focused on “Systemic Change” as it relates to social impact in supply chains. Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM) was represented by 20-year IPSERA veterans Professors Finn Wynstra and Erik van Raaij along with PhD candidate Fanny Chen.
With over 300 members from more than 30 countries, IPSERA hosts an annual conference bringing together leading purchasing and supply chain academics from around the world to discuss the latest innovations and research findings that are impacting the industry. With presentations ranging from the impact of machine learning to supply chain digitalisation to procurement ethics and integrity, this year’s event proved to be highly successful for RSM researchers, who were honoured with two awards for their contributions to the Journal of Purchasing and Supply Management, which annually publishes selected articles from the IPSERA event.
RSM colleagues Prof. Wynstra and Dr Anna Nikulina received the Best Article award from the Journal of Purchasing and Supply Management, while RSM colleague Dr Leopold Ried received the journal’s award for Outstanding Reviewer.
RSM’s bid to host IPSERA 2025 in Rotterdam has been accepted. Prof. van Raaij will lead the team organising the event.
