Since last week, customers of Albert Heijn can save 50 percent off a hotel stay. Hundreds of hotels participate in the action, but some chains refuse participation. They criticize Albert Heijn for abusing their dominant position. The negotiating position of hotels has become weaker in recent years, says Henk Volberda, Professor of Strategic Management at Erasmus University.
