The quarterly Slow Management published a special issue on Rotterdam as a testing ground for new forms of organization. According to Henk Volberda, positive developments are occuring in the harbor. For him, the immediacy and do mentality of Rotterdam seamlessly fits with the principles and characteristics of social innovation as a flat organizational structure and an informal way of working.
