Flexible working seems to be becoming the harsh economic reality in 2017. Professor Henk Volberda recognises that flex working is increasingly becoming the norm. However, he doubts whether it is better for ourselves and our economy. "We see across the board, companies opt for a larger flexible shell. In the short term that is interesting for employers because they run less risk. But in the long run you are going to fall short in innovation. "
