Current research shows that the number of people working from home has not really increased over the past years. In 2012 the percentage of home-teleworkers was 32 percent, against 27 percent in 2008. Several reasons are mentioned. According to the Erasmus University it is important to adjust the regulations that are now an obstacle.
Working from home could have been a solution for traffic jams, but due to the small increase its not a solution yet.
