Text Recognition Model for Yiddish in Vaybertaytsh Typeface, Based on Community Regulations
Part-time PhD candidate Ronny Reshef co-authored this paper that presents a typeface model, Vaybertaytsh.YidTakNL, that can facilitate reading and researching Yiddish texts printed in the Vaybertaytsh typeface found in texts from Amsterdam that were written in early modern times by the local Ashkenazi Jewish community that spoke Western Yiddish.
