This article is about Eric Roelofsen's dissertation 'The Role of Analyst Conference Calls in Capital Markets'. In this study, he found that conference calls by financial analysts lead to more and better information for investors. He also discovered that analysts do not objectively participate in these calls, and tend to weaken their pessimism during the call.
