This study examines how leadership depletion impacts leader performance through a sequential mediation model. It suggests that when leaders feel depleted, their reduced trust beliefs lead to diminished employee citizenship behaviors towards them, subsequently negatively affecting leader performance. The study also highlights the moderating role of belief in limited willpower, offering new insights into the broader implications of leader depletion.
