This article shows that an understanding of finance is a greatly valued leadership trait across all industries, but not every executive or manager comes from a finance education or background. The researcher of this article examined how an 18-hour corporate financial executive education programme impacted executives’ decisions of companies’ financial practices and performance, in collaboration with colleagues of the RSM.
