March 25, 2021, the official go-ahead for the construction of two new buildings on the campus of the Erasmus University was given: a multifunctional and energy-neutral education building and a hypermodern sports building. A talk show, led by Geert Maarse, offered a special insight into what the buildings will look like in the future. Ellen van Schoten (member of the Executive Board), alderman Bas Kurvers (housing) and Mario Broos, chairman of the board of BAM Bouw and Vastgoed Nederland, among others, discussed the importance of good study and sports facilities.
