Article about the effects of working from home.
Working from home can have adverse effects on the performance of cognitive tasks, according to research by Dr Dainis Zegners of RSM. Dr. Zegners and his fellow researchers from Maastricht University Dr. Steffen Künn and Dr. Christian Seel investigated the effect of working from home with world-class professional chess players participating in an online tournament at home. Their results provide food for thought for managers and their teams who have to work from home for extended periods of time.
Dainis Zegners is Assistant Professor at the Department of Technology and Operations Management at the RSM Erasmus University.
