Hardly any more fast-growing companies have come to fruition in the past year and the increase in the number of start-ups that continue to grow into a scale-up has stalled.
These companies are crucial for the resilience of the Dutch economy in times of crisis. The chance of a rapid economic recovery after the Corona crisis has therefore been further reduced. This is evident from the ScaleUp Dashboard 2020 of Erasmus Center for Entrepreneurship and the RSM that was presented today.
