Olaf van der Burg, student at RSM, has won de Dutch Marketing Thesis Award 2019 named "Gains and pains or upgrading the dining atmosphere: a natural field experiment in the fast food industry." His graduation research shows that fast food restaurant customers spend more money on restaurants with a higher aesthetic atmosphere and, in addition, award those establishments a higher rating.
