RSM analysed technology start-ups as they pitched to experienced investors. The research was conducted with the aim to find if and how body language has a considerable effect during a pitch. It was found that an entrepreneur who uses skilled hand gestures when pitching can increase the likelihood of an investor backing their business by an average of 12 per cent – which is a considerable increase.
