Lonneke Roza of RSM has written an article for Forbes, in which she discusses corporate volunteering. Lonneke states that "an effective action which practically any business can take is to encourage its people to volunteer their services to charities and other not-for-profit activities through corporate-sponsored volunteering programmes." Lonneke's research also suggests that, if properly handled, such initiatives don’t just benefit the wider community, but also the organisation itself.
