In October, the unemployment rate in the Netherlands was 3.7%, according to official statistics. This is, together with Germany (3.4% in September), the country with the lowest level of unemployment in the euro zone (8.1%). Henk Volberda stated that "it is so low that some companies are seriously starting to suffer from the labor shortage".
