According to the World Economic Forum, the Dutch economy is very dynamic and is characterised by openness and transparency. But in terms of innovation, there are still major steps to be taken, research shows. Henk Volberda of RSM claims that "The Netherlands has an excellent breeding ground for competition and innovation, a world-class infrastructure, a healthy macroeconomic policy, and an efficient government with well-functioning institutions".
