The Van Gogh Museum closed 2017 with a new record of approximately 2,260,000 visitors. This makes the museum the most visited museum in the Netherlands of the past year. It also held the best reputation of the 18 most famous art institutions across the world according to Cees van Riel's reputation study released earlier this year.
