Last year, the Netherlands ranked 16th on the list of countries where women are equal to men. This year, the ranking plummeted no less than 16 places - to place 32. The World Economic Forum (WEF) concludes that the gender inequality in the Netherlands has increased. "In Sweden the working conditions for women are better. Among other things, childcare is far more extensive and men get longer parental leave. That way, more women stay in the labour market" comments Henk Volberda of RSM.
