Generating electricity from living plants sounds like science fiction, but if it is up to the Wageningen green entrepreneur Marjolein Helder, we will all be producing our energy from our own living room plants soon. Her company, Plant-e, won the Impact Award at the Dutch Innovation Awards, an initiative by AVROTROS and Erasmus University. The nominations were chosen on basis of the Erasmus Competition and Innovation Monitor, led by Henk Volberda of RSM.
