The Netherlands has a top position in the ranking of the most competitive economies published by the World Economic Forum; it is once again the most competitive country in the EU. Professor Henk Volberda of RSM was in charge of collecting data for the Dutch data set and according to him, the country again shows significant improvements: "Market performance has improved (5th position) and it is easier to set up new companies. In addition, the Netherlands is one of the forerunners when it comes to the application of new technologies that form the basis of the fourth industrial revolution, such as artificial intelligence, robotisation, Internet of Things, cloud computing and 3D printing."
