Thales, IBM Netherlands and VanBerlo have been nominated for the title of the most innovative company in the Netherlands. What makes these companies so much more innovative than their competitors? "First, we look at the bare facts. What is the percentage of revenue that companies put into technological innovation? We take investment in R&D and ICT as a benchmark. And then we look at how many per cent of revenue come from newly developed services or products" says Henk Volberda, who leads the Erasmus Centre for Business Innovation.
