In the morning of 9 October, the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences announced that Richard Thaler will receive the Nobel Prize for Economics. He is awarded the prize in recognition of his pioneering analyses in the field of behavioural economics. He was awarded an honorary doctorate degree in 2005 by RSM.
