The Netherlands is the most competitive economy in the European Union for the second year in a row according to research by the World Economic Forum (WEF). Good infrastructure and strong innovation power makes the Netherlands outcompete its German neighbour. "The Netherlands has the best harbour infrastructure in the world," said Henk Volberda of RSM, who was involved in the research. 'In a densely populated trading country like the Netherlands, qualitative infrastructure is essential for competitiveness.'
