Like last year, the Netherlands was ranked fourth in the Global Economic Forum Index of the World Economic Forum. Only Switzerland, the United States and Singapore score higher. The Netherlands has a strong infrastructure, sound governance and high-quality healthcare with a strong base to compete. "The Netherlands is one of the forerunners when it comes to the application of new technologies that form the basis of the fourth industrial revolution, such as artificial intelligence, robotisation, Internet of Things, cloud computing and 3d printing," says Henk Volberda of RSM.
