The Dutch economy keeps delivering - at least according to the annual WEF Global Competitiveness Index, which ranks the competitive power of 137 countries. The Netherlands is fourth, after Switzerland, the US and Singapore, making it the most competitive economy in the European Union. According to RSM's Henk Volberda, the Netherlands owes its success to a world-class infrastructure (3rd place), a well functioning government (7th), good macroeconomic policy (14th) and high-quality healthcare (4th).
