European museum visitors find the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam the best museum in the world according to a new study by RSM's Cees van Riel, which compares eighteen famous art institutions. The researchers selected museums from ten countries from all over the world based on annual visitor numbers. Then about 12,000 people from these countries were asked what they found about the collections, decor and reputation of the selected museums.
