Holidaymakers often leave a trail of information behind on social media. Many of the attractions and sights are already on the radar of tourist organisations. However, there are also places that tourists discover, find and share via their network, which could be a useful tool for these organisations. Tobias Brandt of RSM conducted his study for the first time in San Francisco, where 600,000 tweets of tourists were analysed.
